Jira Tips & Tricks

Understand how linked Jira issues appear in Qualytics, how status syncs work, and make the most of the integration.

Linked Tickets Section

Once linked, tickets appear in the Linked Tickets section of the anomaly.

Each entry shows:

  • Issue key (e.g., DATAQ-4821) — clickable to expand details
  • Status — Jira issue status as of the last sync
  • Priority — Jira issue priority (e.g., High, Medium, Low)
  • Synced X ago — relative time of the most recent update Qualytics pushed to Jira
  • A View button to open the ticket directly in Jira

Syncing Status and Comments

When anomaly status changes in Qualytics:

  • Adds a timestamped comment to the linked Jira issue

Example: Acknowledging an anomaly in Qualytics:

The status change is reflected in Jira as a comment:

Note

Status changes add comments but do not change the issue's status. This preserves your Jira workflow control.

Tip

Multiple tickets can be linked to a single anomaly. Use this to track related issues across different teams or projects.

Tip

You can link tickets from any Jira project the integration's account has access to — not just the Default Project Key configured in the integration. Use the search bar in the Link Ticket modal to find tickets in other projects.
