Edit Threshold
This page walks through updating the Min and Max thresholds on a Volumetric or Metric check directly from its chart in the Observability tab. For the conceptual overview of thresholds, see the Deep Dive.
Permissions
You need the Author team permission (or above) on the datastore to change thresholds. See Observability Permissions for the full matrix.
Threshold edits are inline
Only the Min and Max values can be changed from the chart. Measurement Period, Comparison, and Last Asserted stay read-only in the editor. To change any other property (Description, Tags, Metadata, comparison type), open the full check-edit flow from the Quality Checks section.
Steps
Step 1: In the chart header, click Edit Thresholds next to the check selector.
Step 2: A row appears above the chart with the check's fields. Min and Max become editable; Measurement Period, Comparison, and Last Asserted stay read-only.
Step 3: Type the new Min and Max values.
Step 4: Click Save at the bottom right of the chart area.
Step 5: A success message appears and the chart redraws with the new limits.
