Getting Started with AI Managed Checks
AI Managed checks are generated, validated, and maintained from observed data behavior. Most originate during Profile operations, while AI Managed Volumetric and Freshness checks can use Observability measurement history. They provide broad starting coverage without requiring your team to write every check manually. Your team still controls the applicable AI and oversight settings, can keep new checks in Draft for review, and adds Authored checks for business expectations that observed patterns cannot provide. AI Managed checks display a purple AI badge with a four-point star icon on cards, rows, and detail views.

Permissions
Any user with the Drafter, Author, or Editor team permission can interact with AI Managed checks. Editing rule properties, coverage, filter, or fields requires Author and converts the check to Authored. See the Permissions page for the full matrix.
