Platform Defaults Getting Started

Platform Defaults (the Defaults tab in Settings) is an Admin-only surface where you set deployment-wide default values that replace Qualytics' built-in defaults. These defaults apply automatically to every new source datastore, container, and operation across your workspace, and can optionally be propagated to existing datastores and containers.

Use it to enforce workspace-wide policies around observability tracking, AI check generation, anomaly rollup, and enrichment record limits without configuring each datastore individually.

Permissions

Only users with the Admin user role can edit Platform Defaults. Users with the Manager user role can read the current values via the API but do not see the tab in the UI. See the Permissions page for the full matrix.

How-tos

  • Configure Observability Defaults

Set the default volume-tracking and freshness-tracking settings, and whether AI observability checks are generated automatically.

    Configure Observability Defaults

  • Configure Profile Defaults

Set the default AI Effort level and whether AI-generated checks activate automatically or remain as drafts.

    Configure Profile Defaults

  • Configure Scan Defaults

Set the default rollup threshold for record anomalies and the default number of source examples saved per anomaly to the enrichment datastore.

    Configure Scan Defaults

  • Reset Defaults

Restore Qualytics' shipped values for the Observability, Profile, or Scan section in one click.
