Delete a Connection

This guide walks you through the steps to remove a lineage connection from the graph. Deletion is permanent and applies to connections of any source type: manual, data catalog, or Qualytics managed.

Note

You need the Manager role to delete a lineage connection. Users with the Member role can view the graph but cannot delete connections.

Warning

Deleting a data catalog or Qualytics managed connection does not prevent it from being recreated. Data catalog connections are recreated on the next sync if the relationship still exists in the catalog. Qualytics managed connections are recreated if the computed container's definition still references the source.

Steps

Step 1: Locate the connection you want to remove and hover over the source-type icon in the middle of the arrow. The icon animation changes and a Delete action is revealed.

Step 2: Click the Delete button.

Step 3: The connection is removed from the graph. The remaining nodes stay in place and the canvas view is not adjusted.

Note

If the Delete button does not appear when hovering, your user role does not have the required access. Contact a Manager or Admin to remove the connection.
