Edit Maximum Age

This page walks through updating the Maximum Age on a Freshness check directly from its chart in the Observability tab. For the conceptual overview of freshness tracking, see How Freshness Works.

Permissions

You need the Author team permission (or above) on the datastore to change the Maximum Age. See Observability Permissions for the full matrix.

Maximum Age is human-readable

Outside the editor, Maximum Age renders as a titleized duration (for example, 4 Hours or 6 Minutes) instead of raw milliseconds. Editing exposes an input where the current unit is shown as a prefix, and you can pick a different unit before typing the value.

Steps

Step 1: In the chart header, click Edit Maximum Age next to the Maximum Age chip.

Step 2: The Maximum Age field becomes editable, showing the current unit as a prefix (for example, Hours 4). Cancel and Save buttons appear below the chart.
