Delete a Conversation

Permanently deleting a conversation removes it and all its message history.

Info

Conversation management — including deleting conversations — is only available from the Agent Q full-page view. The floating chat does not support this action.

Warning

Only archived conversations can be permanently deleted. Active conversations must be archived first before they can be deleted.

Before You Delete

Permanently deleting a conversation will have the following effects:

Effect	Description
Message history	All messages and Agent Q responses in the conversation are permanently removed.
Restoration	The conversation cannot be recovered.

Warning

Clicking Delete removes the conversation immediately — there is no confirmation prompt. This action cannot be undone.

Steps

Step 1: Open the Archived section at the bottom of the sidebar, hover over the conversation you want to delete, and click the More options menu icon that appears next to it.

Step 2: A dropdown opens with the available conversation actions.

Step 3: Select Delete .

Step 4: A success message appears and the conversation is removed from the Archived list.
