Security Getting Started
Manage user and team access by assigning roles and permissions within the Qualytics platform. The Security section provides centralized control over who can access your data, how users are authenticated, and how automated systems interact with the platform.
Qualytics uses a two-layer permission model:
- User Roles (Admin, Manager, Member) control platform-level actions — what a user can do globally.
- Team Permissions (Editor, Author, Drafter, Viewer, Reporter) control datastore-level access — what a user can do within specific datastores.
Note
Only users with the Admin role have the authority to manage global platform settings, such as user permissions and team access controls.
Users

-
User Roles

-
Service Users
Synthetic users for automation, pipelines, and integrations. Admin-managed with independent lifecycle.
Teams
-
Teams
Organize users into teams and assign datastores with scoped permissions.
-
Team Permissions
Datastore-level permissions (Editor, Author, Drafter, Viewer, Reporter) that control access to data assets.
