Open the Notifications Panel

The Notifications panel is where everything addressed to you lands: mentions that pull you into a conversation, updates to things you own or are assigned to, and the outcomes of operations and flows. Opening it is how you catch up after time away, and the bell tells you before you click whether there is anything to catch up on.

Nothing in the panel expires. Read notifications move into a history you can revisit at any time, so opening it is also how you find something you dismissed last week.

Steps

Step 1: In the toolbar at the top-right corner of the application, find the bell button, Notifications . When you have unread notifications, the bell is filled and carries a badge with the exact count; otherwise it sits outlined.

Step 2: Click the Notifications button. The panel opens on the right, on the All tab, newest first, grouped under date headings such as Today, Yesterday, and Older so you can scan by when something happened.

Step 3: Click Unread to focus on what still needs you, or Read to search the history of what you have already handled.

Step 4: Scroll to the bottom to load older entries automatically.

Step 5: Click any notification to open what it refers to. The panel closes, an unread notification is marked as read on the way, and the bell's count updates immediately. A link inside the message behaves differently: it opens in a new tab, the panel stays open, and the notification stays unread.

Tip

Every part of the panel, from the tabs to the fields and actions on each item, is described in How Notifications Work and Notification Items.
