Edit a Team
Use the Edit action to update a team's name, display name, description, permission level, users, or datastore access.
Permissions
Only users with the Admin role can edit teams. See the Permissions page for details.
The Public team
The Name, Display Name, and Users of the Public team cannot be changed; the dialog shows them locked. Its permission and datastores can be changed like any other team's.
Steps
Step 1: From any page of the application, open Settings in the left sidebar. The Settings page opens with its tabs across the top.
Step 2: Click the Access tab. The Access page opens on its own row of tabs.
Step 3: Click the Teams tab. The list shows every team, one per row.
Step 4: Locate the team you want to edit. Type part of its label or Name in the Search field above the list, or reorder the list with the sort menu next to it, as described in Sort Teams. If the team has a Display Name, hover over its label to read the underlying Name in the tooltip and make sure you have the right one.
Step 5: Click the vertical ellipsis at the right end of the team's row. A dropdown menu appears.
Step 6: Click Edit . The Edit Team dialog opens. It shows placeholder bars for a moment while the team loads, then the form appears with the team's current values already filled in.
Step 7: Edit whatever the team needs. See Add a Team for what each field holds.
Renaming a team that syncs with an identity-provider group
Group sync matches directory groups against the Name only. Changing the Name breaks the match, and new members stop being added until the Name matches the group again. To change what people see without touching the match, edit the Display Name instead. Clearing the Display Name makes the team show its Name again. See Just-in-Time Provisioning and Group Sync.
Note
A datastore must belong to at least one team. If you remove a datastore from the only team it belongs to, the save is refused and the dialog shows the reason in a red message. Assign that datastore to another team first, then come back.
Step 8: Click Save at the bottom right of the dialog. The button shows a spinner while the changes are applied. To discard them instead, click Cancel or the X in the top right corner; the team keeps its current values.
Step 9: A success message appears, the dialog closes, and the team's row shows the updated label, users, datastores, and permission.
