Reset Your Password
- Managed deployment
- Self-hosted
Use password recovery when you sign in with an email address and a password created in Qualytics. If you use an SSO provider, recover your password through that provider instead.
See Configure Email & Password Sign-In for administrator settings and Troubleshooting if you cannot regain access.
Availability
Any user with an email and password account can reset their own password. Email & Password sign-in must be enabled, and the deployment must be able to send reset emails. Administrators cannot choose a password on someone else's behalf.
Steps
- Open your deployment's sign-in page and click Reset Password.
- Enter the email address you use for password sign-in and click Send Reset Link.
- Open the most recent reset email and follow its link to Set New Password.
- Enter New Password and Confirm Password, following the requirements shown on the page.
- Click Reset Password. A success message appears.
- Click Sign In and use your new password.
Reset Link and Session Behavior
- The request confirmation is the same whether or not an account exists for that email address. It does not confirm that an email was delivered.
- Reset links expire after the period configured by your administrator, 60 minutes by default, and can be used only once.
- When a new reset link is issued, older reset links stop working. Use the most recent email.
- Completing a reset clears the account's temporary password lockout and ends its existing password sign-in sessions. Sign in again with the new password.
- A password reset does not create an account or grant additional permissions. A new user needs an invitation or an enabled SSO provider that permits account creation.
