Configure Sync Defaults
Set how many tables or files Qualytics analyzes at the same time while syncing a datastore. This is a single value for the whole deployment: every Sync, on every datastore, shares the same allowance, and a change takes effect on the next Sync without a restart.
Permission Required
You need the Admin user role to edit Platform Defaults. See the Permissions page for details.
Fields
The Sync panel exposes one field:
| No. | Field | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Tables or Files Analyzed at Once | Numeric input with a preset menu offering 4, 16, 32, 64, and Custom for any other value. How many tables or files Qualytics analyzes in parallel during a sync. Range 1 to 256. Default: 16. A higher number can make large syncs finish sooner, but it puts more load on the source system. |
Unlike the other groups, this panel has no Apply to existing datastores toggle. The value is not a per-datastore default, so there is nothing to push down.
Steps
Step 1: Open Settings from the left sidebar, click the Defaults tab, and click Sync in the left rail. The current value loads on the right, and the side card shows a single Global level, since nothing overrides this setting.
Step 2: Type the number of tables or files to analyze at once, or pick a preset from the menu at the end of the field. The menu shows Custom whenever the value is not one of the four presets. Typing a value outside 1 to 256 shows Value must be between 1 and 256, and the field clamps to the nearest bound when you leave it.
Step 3: Click Save Sync to apply the change.
Step 4: A confirmation banner reading Sync defaults saved appears at the top of the panel. The next Sync to start, on any datastore, runs with the new limit.
Finding the right number
Raise it when a datastore with thousands of tables takes hours to sync and the source system has headroom. Lower it when the source system shows strain during a sync, since each unit is one more table or file being read at the same time.
