Sync a Data Catalog from the Datastore

Start a data catalog synchronization scoped to one datastore, straight from its Data Catalog Links dialog, without leaving the page. This is the fastest way to see a corrected link take effect.

Permission Required

You need the Editor team permission on the datastore, and the datastore must be linked in at least one data catalog. A full synchronization of the whole integration runs from Settings > Integrations instead and requires the Manager or Admin role.

Steps

Step 1: Navigate to your datastore overview, with the datastore selected in the tree.

Step 2: Click Data Catalog Links in the tree footer. Or click the datastore's Settings button and select Data Catalog .

Step 3: Click Sync. When the datastore is linked in more than one catalog, pick which one to synchronize.

Step 4: Choose Pull, Push, or both.

Step 5: Click Start. The dialog confirms the synchronization started.

Step 6: Follow progress and results on the integration's entry under Settings > Integrations, reachable through the Go to integrations link.

What Pull and Push exchange

Pull brings supported catalog metadata into Qualytics, and Push sends Qualytics metadata to the catalog. What each direction exchanges depends on the catalog; see the Synchronization section of your catalog's page, listed under Supported Data Catalogs.
