Start a New Baseline

Replace the drift referent of an AI Use Case and begin a new certification cycle. Do this after the bound containers change, or when the approved referent no longer describes the data. See Capture the Evidence.

Returns the record to Draft

Starting a new baseline replaces the active referent and returns the record to Draft, clearing the current approval. Existing attestations remain unchanged, but a Manager or Admin must certify the new cycle before another attestation can be generated.

Permission Required

You need the Author team permission on every bound datastore, and Members must own the record. See Permissions.

Steps

Step 1: Open the record in the recipe, through Open in Recipe on the record list or Continue Recipe on the AI Use Case page, and go to the Baseline step.

Step 2: Click Start New Baseline . The card updates with the new capture date and container count, and the certification badge returns to Draft.

Step 3: Click Next and, on Evidence, click Submit for Review. Once the approver has clicked Certify, click Generate Attestation to record evidence for the new cycle. See Certify an AI Use Case.
