Scan a Check in the Recipe¶
DO Running scans
Take an active Data Diff check straight to the recipe's Scan step, skipping the build phase. This is the quickest way to rerun the reconciliation after new loads on either side. See Entry Points and Resuming for how the entry points behave.
Permission Required
The button appears only on Active Data Diff checks, and only when you can dry-run checks and run operations on the datastore (the Editor team permission). See Permissions.
Scan step reference¶
The Scan step has no form to fill in. It shows the following, from top to bottom.

The scan asserts only this check, so the other checks on the asset raise no anomalies from it. See Scan & Reconcile for what each result means.
Steps¶
Step 1: Navigate to the datastore holding the left asset and open the Checks tab.
Step 2: Open the active Data Diff check and click Scan in Recipe in the top right corner. The recipe opens on the Scan step with the check loaded.
Step 3: If the step shows Choose a datastore to receive the mismatched rows, click Link Enrichment and link an enrichment destination. See Link an Enrichment Destination from the Scan Step. Otherwise the step reads Ready to scan all records.
Step 4: Click Scan. The Running full scan… card stays up until the scan finishes, which may take a few minutes depending on data volume.
Step 5: Read the Review Results view. If a Mismatch records not yet loaded card appears, click Load Mismatch Records . To scan once more with the same settings, click Run scan again .
Step 6: Click Next to reconcile the mismatches, as in Run the Data Reconciliation Recipe. If the scan found no mismatches, click Complete instead.
