Scan a Check in the Recipe¶
DO Running scans
Take an active Entity Resolution check straight to the recipe's Scan step, skipping the build phase. This is the quickest way to rerun the recipe on new data. See Entry Points and Resuming for how the entry points behave.
Permission Required
The button appears only on Active Entity Resolution checks, and only when you can dry-run checks and run operations on the datastore (the Editor team permission). See Permissions.
Scan step reference¶
The Scan step has no form to fill in. It shows the following, from top to bottom.

| Load Source Records | The duplicates are not loaded yet. | Loads the anomaly's source records, which are the duplicates you will remediate. |
| Run scan again | After the scan. | Repeats the scan with the same settings and discards the previous results and golden-record selections. |
| Next | The source records are loaded. | Opens the Remediate step. Replaced by Complete when the scan found no duplicates. |
The scan asserts only this check, so the other checks on the table raise no anomalies from it. See Scan & Remediate for what each result means.
Steps¶
Step 1: Navigate to the datastore and open the Checks tab.
Step 2: Open the active Entity Resolution check and click Scan in Recipe in the top right corner. The recipe opens on the Scan step with the check loaded.
Step 3: If the step shows Choose a datastore to receive the scan's records, click Link Enrichment and link an enrichment destination. See Link an Enrichment Destination from the Scan Step. Otherwise the step reads Ready to scan all records.
Step 4: Click Scan. The Running full scan… card stays up until the scan finishes, which may take a few minutes depending on data volume.
Step 5: Read the Review Results view. If a Source records not yet loaded card appears, click Load Source Records . To scan once more with the same settings, click Run scan again .
Step 6: Click Next to remediate the duplicates, as in Run the Entity Resolution Recipe. If the scan found no duplicates, click Complete instead.
