Navigate the Canvas
Move around a Flow's canvas, adjust the zoom, and open each node's settings. Anyone who can view the Flow can navigate its canvas; editing what the panels contain requires the Manager role.
To open the canvas, click the Flow on the Definitions tab of the Flows page. It opens on the Manage tab, showing the Flow node at the root, the trigger below it, and the actions chained after the trigger. Click any node to open its settings panel on the right-hand side: the Flow node opens Flow Settings, the trigger opens Trigger Settings, and an action opens its own configuration. Each panel has its own Save button, and every save becomes part of the Flow's unpublished changes until you publish.
Canvas Controls
Each action category's section carries its own how-tos for the action menu tasks; see Actions.
Moving an Action
Choosing Move on an action's menu puts the canvas in rearranging mode: a banner asks you to drag the action and its downstream actions to a new parent, with a Cancel button to leave the mode without changing anything. While you drag, the canvas marks which nodes can receive the action, so you can see where it may land before dropping it.
The action never travels alone. Everything chained below it moves along, keeping the order of the branch, and each action keeps its own configuration. Two kinds of node refuse the drop: the action's own descendants, since a node cannot hang from its own branch, and its current parent, since that would change nothing. Notification and workflow actions never accept children, so they are never candidates either.
Like every other canvas edit, a move only becomes live when you publish the Flow.
Nodes keep their layout
The canvas arranges nodes automatically, so they cannot be dragged freely. An action's position only changes through Move or Swap .
