Create a Flow
Create a new Flow to automate actions based on data operations, anomaly events, a schedule, or manual execution. Every new Flow starts with its two base nodes, the Flow node and the Trigger node, already on the canvas, followed by a dashed Action placeholder that marks where the first action goes.
Permission Required
You need the Manager role to create and publish Flows. See Flow Permissions for details.
Field reference
The Flow Settings panel, which opens automatically on a new Flow, shows the following fields.
| Field | Required | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name | Text | The Flow's name, up to 90 characters. Shown on the Flow node and on the Flows list. | |
| Description | Text | A short description of the Flow's purpose, shown as a tooltip on the Flows list. | |
| Deactivated | Checkbox | Under Options. When checked, the Flow does not start even when its trigger conditions are met. |
The trigger and action settings have their own references. See Configure a Trigger and the Action Node pages.
Steps
Step 1: Navigate to the Flows page by clicking Flows on the left side panel.
Step 2: Click Add Flow in the top right corner. The canvas opens with the default Flow and Trigger nodes, a dashed Action placeholder below them, and the Flow Settings panel already open.
Step 3: In Flow Settings, fill in the fields and then click Save.
Step 4: Click the Trigger node and configure when the Flow starts. See Configure a Trigger for each trigger type and its filters.
Step 5: Add the actions the Flow runs, in order, after the trigger. See Actions.
Step 6: Click Publish in the top right corner. A success message confirms that your Flow has been added.
Warning
Until you publish, the Flow is not saved. Publishing makes the whole configuration live at once; Cancel on the unpublished-changes banner discards it. See How a Flow Works.
