Filter and Sort Checks

Search, filter, and sort the check list to find the checks you need to review or change.

The list appears on Explore > Checks, and on the Checks tab of a datastore, a table or file, a field, or a check template. The Search field, the Filter menu, and the sort menu sit in a row above the list. To switch between ascending and descending order, click the arrow to the left of the selected sort criterion. To switch between active, draft, and archived checks, use the status tabs above the list instead.

The Search field finds checks by identifier or description.

Filters

The Filter menu narrows the list by the conditions below. Pick a filter on the left side of the menu, choose its value on the right, and click Apply. Clear at the top of a filter's options resets that filter. Clear all at the top of the menu resets every filter at once.

The menu offers only the filters that make sense where you opened the list, so a list that is already scoped to one table does not offer a table filter. Pick the tab below for the place you opened the list from.

Open Explore > Checks. The list covers every datastore you can access. To narrow it by datastore or tag, use the Source Datastores and Tags selectors at the top of the Explore page. The Filter menu offers the rest.

Last Editor Shows only the checks last changed by the selected user.
Element-Level When turned on, shows only the checks that validate each element of an array field individually.

Open a datastore and select its Checks tab. The list is already scoped to that datastore.

Sort

The sort menu is the same wherever you open the list. It orders the list by one of the following criteria. Select a criterion, then pick its direction on the same row. The list reorders when the menu closes.

Sort Description

Coverage Orders the list by the share of data each check covers, Highest or Lowest first.
Created Date Orders the list by when each check was created, Newest or Oldest first.
Importance Orders the list by the importance of each check, Most or Least important first. This is the default order.
Last Asserted Orders the list by when each check last ran, Newest or Oldest first. Checks that have never run appear at the top of the list on Newest and at the bottom on Oldest.
Rules Orders the list alphabetically by rule type, A-Z or Z-A.
